These Terms of Service govern your use of the Ausvex website, engineering calculators and related services. By using the website, you agree to these Terms.

Use of the website

You may use Ausvex for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not misuse the website, attempt to gain unauthorised access, interfere with its operation, or use automated means in a way that adversely affects the service.

Accounts and Google sign-in

Certain features may require an account. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity carried out through your account. Google sign-in is provided for authentication and is subject to Google’s own terms and policies.

Engineering calculators

Ausvex calculators are provided as engineering tools to assist with preliminary analysis, estimation and design workflows. Results depend on the assumptions, inputs, formulas, standards and limitations applicable to each calculator.

Calculator results must be independently reviewed and verified by a suitably qualified and experienced engineer before being relied upon for safety-critical, regulatory, structural, mechanical or other professional engineering decisions. Ausvex does not represent that calculator results are suitable for every application or project.

Professional calculations and paid features

Some calculators or advanced functionality may require an account, subscription or other payment. Where applicable, pricing, inclusions and specific terms will be presented before purchase. Access may be subject to reasonable usage limits and technical requirements.

Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, Ausvex owns or has the necessary rights to the website content, software, calculator interfaces, branding and related materials. You may not reproduce, redistribute, sell or commercially exploit these materials without permission.

Third-party services

The website may use third-party services, including Google authentication, hosting and payment or communications providers. Your use of those services may also be subject to their respective terms and policies.

Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend or discontinue features or content from time to time. We do not guarantee that the website or any particular calculator will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Ausvex is not liable for loss arising from reliance on calculator outputs or website information without appropriate independent engineering review. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right, guarantee or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Australian law.
